Bob Sawicki is SVP, Head of Talent at Global Atlantic Financial Group. Bob leads all talent processes, including talent acquisition, executive search, talent development, succession planning, performance management and employee engagement, in support of Global Atlantic’s growth strategy. Prior to his current role, Bob was SVP, Talent Management at Magellan Health, leading talent and culture change processes.
Bob’s career spans senior roles in talent management, organization development, global learning and strategic initiatives at United Technologies Otis Elevator, Pratt & Whitney, Armstrong World Industries and The Hartford. Prior to joining Magellan, Bob served as Vice President, Leadership and Professional Development at The Hartford, where he won a Chairman’s Award and HR Excellence award for establishing an enterprise-wide leadership development strategy. In his role as AVP, Strategic Initiatives and Innovation at The Hartford, Bob established an Innovation team and practice focused on maximizing creative resources and business improvement. In other roles, he has facilitated team-building sessions and led workshops on a variety of topics, working with leadership teams in countries such as China, South Africa, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Germany and the U.K. He earned an Otis Globe Award for his social responsibility and team-building work in South Africa.
Bob earned his MBA from the University of Connecticut, and a B.S. in Marketing from St. John’s University in New York. He has completed Six Sigma Black Belt training as well as other certifications in change leadership and strategic organization design. He serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Connecticut Executive MBA Program, teaching business leadership, organization design and strategy courses. Bob is a board member with the Human Resources Leadership Forum of Southern New England, serving as Development Committee Chair.
A native New Yorker, Bob now resides in Avon, CT, with his wife and three daughters.
